Good afternoon. It's more likely that we'll have a record breaking summer this year and it's going to be another sweaty day today.

Heatwave alerts are in place for almost the entire nation with highs to hover in the mid to upper thirties.

For a closer look at today's temperatures... Seoul will get up to 34 degrees Celsius, and it will reach 37 degrees in Daegu and Gyeongju. There'll be blazing sunshine and high humidity.

And there's no sign of escaping from this sweltering heat... early next week Seoul could see highs jumping to 36 degrees.

It comes as no surprise that the number of heat related illnesses has tripled in just a week, and with more scorching temperatures ahead, it's essential that we take good care of ourselves and drink plenty of water.
