As we mentioned at the top of the newscast,... it's forecast to be yet another very hot day here in Korea.

Jee-hyun, another scorcher ahead....
Good morning, Mark. As you said we are only halfway through July, but searing heat has been sweeping the country and today is no exception.
People say Daefrica which is a combination word for Daegu and Africa to describe how hot it is in summer,... but actually Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do province are having higher temperatures than most African nations these days, while heatwave alerts are in place for almost the entire nation.
Plus Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu are also seeing high levels of ultrafine dust levels, making this summer even harsher.
Most of the nation also had to have their fans and air conditioners on while sleeping... Seoul, Busan and Gyeongju are waking up to a low of 24 degrees Celsius this morning.
Blazing sunshine is in store and Seoul will get up to 34 degrees, 37 degrees for Daegu and Gyeongju.
The summer heat will stay with us for the time being. We need to aware that extreme heat is responsible for more deaths than tornadoes, floods or hurricanes so take good care of yourself.
