Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle, it's only the beginning of June but we are already getting heat wave alerts. Any heat relieving news for us?
Daniel, until now, the warm southwesterly winds have been flowing in, but tomorrow, relatively cool winds from the northwest are expected to give us a nice cool breeze. However, because of the scorching sun,... the daily highs will remain fairly high.
As for the heat wave advisories,... Gyeongsang-do provinces will continue to be under an alert tomorrow so, apply sunblock, drink lots of water and don't stand outside for too long.
In the morning, the temperatures are still warm at 18 degrees Celsius in Seoul, Daegu and Gyeongju slightly warmer at 20 and 19 degrees respectively.
During the peak hours, Seoul's temperature will rise to 27 degrees, Gwangju 30, and Busan 25 degrees. Dust levels are expected to be high tomorrow as well so make sure to check the readings.
The sweltering hot weather is expected to continue until Saturday,... but starting Saturday evening, rain will fall on Jeju and the west coast which will spread nationwide by Sunday to give us a little break from the heat.
