Human Rights Watch marked the fifth anniversary of the Australian government’s controversial policy of offshore refugee processing and settlement with a video showing the camp and inmates on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea.This video shows scenes from Manus Island, and interviews with refugees interned at the camp. Their names are recorded here.According to HRW, 1,600 refugees are interned by the Australian government on Manus Island and on the island nation of Nauru. There are 850 men, women and children on Nauru and 750 men on Manus Island.In this footage, Elaine Pearson from HRW speaks to refugees from Iran, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Sudan and Bangladesh.
