Brave Indian rescues horse from swollen Himalayan river risking his own life

During the Kedarnath flood in the year 2013, a group of people left from Rishikesh to rescue other people stuck there. Near Sonprayag, they found a broken bridge and a mule stuck in a heavily flooded torrent, struggling to cross the flooded stream. Jagat Pundir and Vikram Rana wade towards the mule, with ropes to rescue it. The mule is trapped under a fallen tree-trunk which seems to be the problem and a solution at the same time, as the mule is not washed away thanks to the tree trunk. After a long time spent and a lot of effort, they decide to fling a rope towards the mule's neck and tug towards them. They finally succeed in rescuing the mule with no harm done to it.
