KOSPI dips to 14-month low on U.S.-China trade war concerns

The nation's main stock index sank to its lowest level since last May... on worries over the trade spat between the U.S. and China.
In mid-day trading, the KOSPI dropped below 22-50…briefly touching 22-43.
It rebounded from that low and closed at 22-57… but still down about point-3-5 percent from the previous session.
The Trump administration's tariffs on Chinese imports will be in effect before the week is up, and Beijing is expected to respond with its own set of measures.
This conflict prompted a selling spree by foreign investors.
As for the tech-heavy KOSDAQ, it lost Point-6-3 percent to close at just under 795.
