In a significant development in Karnataka, commission set up by national green tribunal has lambasted Karnataka government and it's various agencies who have miserably failed to discharge their duties in the Bellandur lake issue. The commission stated that the biggest lake of Bengaluru has now become city's septic tank just because of sheer callousness and indifference of the authorities. The report added that the water holding capacity of the lake has rapidly shrunk due to indiscriminate dumping of construction and demolishing waste.
