Cat rescued after getting stuck in tiny gap between two houses

This is the heart-wrenching moment a pet cat is rescued after getting stuck in a tiny gap between two houses.

The stranded moggy was heard meowing for help all night after climbing into the tight space in Hat Yai, Thailand, on May 4.

Neighbour Napatsin Kanyuta, 57, called for help when she woke up the next morning and the cat was still crying.

Rescuers were filmed using a pneumatic drill to smash through her living room wall and pull the cat to safety - who emerged looking dazed and tired.

Napatsin said: ''I heard the cat at night but went to sleep. When it was still making a noise in the morning I was curious and thought that perhaps something was not right.

''I saw him inside the wall. He belongs to one of the people who live here. I think he could have been chasing a rat and got stuck inside.

''I don't mind that my wall has been broken. It is better to break the wall and save the cat than leave it in there.''
