'Idiot' Tourist Spotted Sitting on Steep Cliff Ledge

A man who was captured taking pictures on a cliff face on June 3 at The Gap, Western Australia, has been slammed by Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan for his actions, just weeks after the death of another tourist in the same location.A witness told Storyful the man was taking pictures on the ledge for almost 10 minutes.McGowan said: “You can’t control people being idiots.”Two weeks earlier, a 20-year-old man fell to his death from the same cliff face. The West Australian reported the Indian student had been running on the rocks while his friends snapped pictures before slipping and plunging to his death.Witnesses said he hit several rocks before landing on a ledge at the base where he was washed into the ocean by a wave.
