More than 13,000 S. Korean "eco-friendly" trademarks registered since 2007

A growing number of products in Korea are labeled environmentally friendly.
According to the Korean Intellectual Property Office, within a decade, more than 13-thousand trademarks were registered with such themes.
That's more than 12-hundred products a year on average.
They used phrases like eco, green or eco-friendly.
In 2017, the two products with the most green expressions or symbols were cosmetics and detergents.
The KIPO expects the number of such trademarks will increase in the future as more people in the nation are becoming interested in protecting the environment while taking care of their health.
