Pentagon says U.S. is maintaining readiness against N. Korea as situation develops

The Pentagon says the U.S. remains prepared against North Korea-- and that it's maintaining a high state of readiness despite recent developments on the Korean Peninsula.
Director of the Joint Staff Kenneth McKenzie told reporters at the Defense Department on Thursday, that although the North has not conducted missile tests for quite a while,... it's necessary to prepare for the worst because it's difficult to predict North Korea and what will happen in the future.
He also said that President Trump's maximum pressure campaign led to the current situation,... and so the troop levels and the joint exercises with South Korea and other allies in the region are unlikely to change.
