China supports contacts between North Korea-U.S. to achieve denuclearization

Another regional player,... is making its presence known amid the flurry of diplomacy on North Korea's denuclearization.
On the North Korea-U.S. pre-summit-talks happening in New York, China's Foreign Ministry says it fully supports efforts made by both sides to demonstrate goodwill and engage in positive interactions.
Here's Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

"We think it's necessary to attach importance to and solve North Korea's reasonable security concerns while pushing forward denuclearization, which should be realized along with establishment of a long-term effective peace mechanism for the peninsula."

She added that China, as a major party concerned to the Korean Peninsula issue and a signatory to the Armistice Agreement,.. will continue playing its part to that end.
