South Korean reporters left for Beijing on Monday to cover North Korea's dismantling of its nuclear test site.
A total of eight reporters left South Korea, four from news agency News1, and four from broadcasting company MBC.
Pyongyang hasn't accepted their visa applications, and the reporters and the government are waiting for a reply from the North after another application attempt Monday morning.
Meanwhile, U.S.-based North Korea monitoring website 38 North reported that satellite images show several key operational support buildings at the nuclear test site have been taken down, and other signs hinting that the dismantling of the site has begun.
