THIS is Why the Porsche 911 is so Special!

The Porsche 911 is arguably the most iconic sportscar on the planet, with over 1 million units sold across 7 generations of the model. For the Le Mans 24H weekend in France, I find myself driving around in the 911 Carrera, so what's it all about and why is this model so special?

The 911 Carrera is the 'base' model of a line-up with around 25 different variations that can be had; Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, 4S, GTS, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS and many of those different models available as Coupe, Convertible or Targa configurations.

With new twin-turbocharged engines in the Porsche 911 for the 991.2 facelift, the 3.0l flat-6 makes 370PS and 450Nm. This particular car is well equipped and has the 7 speed PDK gearbox, Guards Red paint, and Carrera Classic wheels.

So to land such a crown, what is it that the 911 has managed to do so well?

Thanks for watching, Tim
