The Engine is in My GT8! [Road to GT8 Episode 05]

As if it wasn't becoming real enough when we were at Gaydon to see the body being painted in Episode 04, now it's time for the powertrain to be married to the body!
Joining the car on the line, I get to see it with the orange accents for the first time (and later with the bumpers installed), before a look around the complete powertrain system of the naturally aspirated 4.7l V8, 6 speed manual gearbox, the crash structure and other running gear components. Then both parts arrive at the marriage station, often considered the highlight of the build process for a new car.
I cannot thank Aston Martin enough for this fantastic opportunity to be able to bring you the look behind the scenes at the build process of my Vantage GT8. On both a personal level with the storyline for my own car and also the content I'm able to bring to you guys, it's absolutely wonderful.
I hope you enjoy this amazing opportunity, and equally the content that is to come as the car moves along the line and ultimately continues on the Road to GT8.
