At least half of all children under five in the Kasai region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo suffer from acute malnutrition, UNICEF said in a report released on May 11.Of the 770,000 children suffering from malnutrition in the area, 400,000 were at risk of death, UNICEF said.The report found that more than 200 health centers were looted, burned or destroyed during recent conflicts and more than 400 schools were attacked or used for military purposes.
