Hundreds gather in Delhi to protest Unnao and Kathua rape cases after Rahul Gandhi tweets

Hundreds gathered at India Gate at midnight on April 12 after Congress President Rahul Gandhi called people on Twitter for a candlelight vigil in protest of two major rape cases in the country. The first is the case of an 8-year-old girl who was raped and murdered in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua. The second is a 17-year-old in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao. In the UP case, a BJP MLA is the main accused.

Though the protest was organised by the Congress Party, many chose to gather though they were not affiliated to the party.
