South Korea's financial aid to developing countries reached two-point-two billion U.S. dollars in 2017, ranking 15th among the 29 OECD members recorded.
The OECD says South Korea's official development assistance last year was down one-point-eight percent from 2016, but by ranking, it went up one spot.
Of the total, South Korea spent around one-point-six billion dollars on direct bilateral aid and the rest on indirect aid through international organizations.
Over half of the assistance went to Asian countries, followed by around 24 percent to African countries and ten percent to Latin American countries.
