Santa Ana PD Shares Update on K9 Who Lost Several Teeth Chasing Down Carjacker

A police dog in Santa Ana, California, is recovering after losing several teeth while chasing down a carjacker back in February.A local publication reported on February 27 that the Santa Ana Police Department K9, Puskas, had undergone surgery for his injuries.The dog lost a number of teeth after taking down the carjacker, appearing to have hit his face on the ground.The Santa Ana Police Department shared an update on eight-year-old Puskas’ recovery on March 30 “by popular demand,” and informed fans of the K9 that he had a minor setback in the form of a second surgery.The video shows Puskas with his handler, Officer Luis Galeana, who says that they are working to get the dog back to full health. The update even features an adorable clip of Puskas and Galeana working out on the treadmill together.The video had over 1,300 views at the time of writing.
