Kiwi cricketer Ross Taylor signed a piece of sandpaper, which was instrumental in the a ball-tampering scandal that rocked the Australia cricket team, during a test match in Christchurch on Friday, March 30.A number of spectators watching the match between England and New Zealand reportedly dressed up as Australian cricketers carrying pieces of sandpaperThis came after Australian batsman Cameron Bancroft used sandpaper to rough up a ball during a test match against South Africa in Cape Town on March 24. The incident led to the suspension of Bancroft, former captain Steve Smith and former vice captain David Warner. Coach Darren Lehmann also resigned.On Thursday, Smith held an emotional press conference apologising for the incident. Many commentators in the Australian media reacting sympathetically and positively to his apology. However, response from Australia’s rivals has been less kind.
