A flash flood warning was issued for New York City as a short afternoon thunderstorm rolled through the tri-state area. on June 19.The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for all of New York City, Jersey City and Newark until 5:45 p.m.In New York City, wind from the storm blew construction barriers into traffic on 57th Street by Columbus Circle, hitting some cars in the road, but not causing any damage.
