U.S. is 'long ways' from negotiations with North Korea: Tillerson

Despite the apparent breakthrough on the Korean Peninsula,... U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson isn't getting too carried away.
Tillerson, speaking on Thursday while on his first trip to Africa,... said while the signals from Pyongyang may be positive,... direct negotiations are still a long way off.
He noted how President Trump said there were positive signs coming out of North Korea.
In terms of direct talks,... Tillerson said the first step should be "talks about talks."
He added that Washington needs to be "very clear-eyed and realistic" about the prospects.
His comments come after South Korea's Presidential office said the Kim Jong-un regime "clearly stated" it's willing to discuss denuclearization with the U.S.
