The labor union of GM Korea held a series of protests on Tuesday over the U.S. automaker's decision to close its Gunsan assembly plant.
More than a dozen members of the firm's labor union gathered in front of the Korea Development Bank in western Seoul on Tuesday morning, demanding the reversal of GM Korea's decision to shut down the Gunsan plant.
Some are also staging rallies in front of the National Tax Service, the National Assembly and the U.S. Embassy in Seoul.
The members of the union have been demanding that these institutes allow the union to participate in the due diligence review, and that they carry out a special tax audit.
