President Moon Jae-in joined in the growing number of supporters of the nation's "MeToo" movement... pledging to use all available means to make sure sexual harrassment can no longer find a place in Korea.
In a weekly meeting of his top aides on Monday... the liberal leader expressed respect to the brave victims who spoke up against powerful figures involved in the cases... and urged thorough investigations.

"Gender-based violence can be uprooted only when culture and views change in society which is why I call for a wider MeToo movement across the nation."

South Korea has seen the MeToo movement spread from the cultural to academic sector in recent weeks... with many women publicly coming forward, accusing high-profile individuals in art, entertainment, literature and religion of sexual misconduct.
