PyeongChang 2018 officially ended for Team Korea's athletes on Monday... after their record-breaking haul of five gold, eight silver and four bronze medals.
The host nation, which ranked in seventh place overall, held a disbanding ceremony inside the athletes' village in Gangneung.
Do Jong-hwan, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attended the ceremony to give his compliments to the athletes for their hard work and success.
Though South Korea fell short of its original goal of finishing in the top-four,… its 17 medals surpassed South Korea's previous record of 14 medals at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.
Team Korea's delegation at PyeongChang 2018 was its largest ever, with one-hundred-44 athletes in all 15 sports.
