Lighting Strikes Airbus at Take-off in Manchester Airport

A flight operated by Singapore Airways Airbus A350-900 appeared to be struck by lightning as it left Manchester Airport on February 11.Adrian Beckett‏ captured the footage while on board the Houston, Texas-bound flight. Beckett told Storyful he believed he was the only passenger to capture video of the incident but the subsequent thunder cap was loud enough to be heard by others. The plane ride continued on route to the US unaffected, according to Beckett‏.The Airbus A350 was designed and tested to withstand lightning strikes without impacting the flight, according to reports.
