On Monday, scientists were puzzled over U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion that ice caps are “setting records," despite much of the world’s ice from the Alps to the Andes is melting due to global warming. Trump casted doubt on mainstream scientific findings about climate change in an interview aired on Britain’s ITV channel on Sunday night. In the interview, Trump said “The ice caps were going to melt, they were going to be gone by now. But now they’re setting records.
