Cities flooded as worst rain in 50 years hits France

The river Seine swelled in France after the heaviest rains in 50 years led to floods in several areas around the country.

Around 1,500 people were evacuated from their homes around Paris. According to national weather agency Meteo France 23 departments were on orange alert, the second highest warning, as there is flood risks in their area.
