High School Crowd Loses It After Miracle 3-Pointer Wins Game

The boys’ basketball team at St Charles East High School, based in St Charles, Illinois, secured a win over St Charles North on January 12, thanks to an unbelievable buzzer-beating, three-pointer from student Justin Hardy.With barely any time remaining, Hardy stole the ball from St Charles North before taking a three-point shot which turned out to be the game-winner for his team, prompting scenes of delirium as fellow students invaded the court.Footage of the shot, shared by reporter Jake Bartelson shows the ecstatic crowd celebrating Hardy’s nothing-but-net finish. Another clip from the game, tweeted by @jhendriksen, shows the miracle throw from a different angle.The initial clip from Bartelson had over 20,000 views at the time of writing. While the impressive nature of the win is in little doubt, it actually marks the third year in a row St Charles East has handed out a last-second defeat to their St Charles North rivals.
