Violinist Michelle Ross played to crowds of travelers at New York’s John F Kennedy Airport on the evening of January 5, amid continued delays following a major snowstorm in the US Northeast. This video of her performance was captured by Julie Norman.In 2016, Ross played Bach’s entire solo violin cycle at various locations in New York for 33 consecutive days and blogged about it on discoveringbach.com. Speaking to Storyful, she said she never made it to an airport during that period, and joked that her January 5 impromptu performance “was meant to be.”Flights at JFK Airport had been suspended from afternoon on January 4 to the morning of January 5, sparking flight cancellations and long waits.
