Freezing temperatures swept the US east coast on Friday, January 5, after some states felt the ongoing effects of a ‘bomb cyclone’.This video taken by Long Island artist Joseph Scinto shows ferries stuck on frozen ice at Sayville Terminal.Strong winds and record-breaking cold air was forecast to sweep across parts of New England over the weekend, CBS News reported.Sayville was one of the towns in the northeast to feel the impact of the bombogenesis storm, which has also been dubbed a ‘bomb cyclone’, according to The New York Times.
