Ahed Tamimi's Aunt Manal Arrested During Protest Against Ahed's Detention

Israeli soldiers arrested Manal Tamimi, the aunt of Ahed Tamimi and an activist from Nabi Saleh on December 28, outside Ofer Prison, south of Ramallah in the West Bank,.Along with others, Manal Tamimi was protesting the detention of her niece, Ahed Tamimi, 17, who has been charged with assaulting an Israeli soldier. Manal Tamimi is married to Bilal Tamimi, who filmed this footage, and who is a leader of the Nabi Saleh Solidarity group, which has protested against the Israeli occupation of the West Bank for several years.The IDF is also currently holding Nariman Tamimi, the mother of Ahed Tamimi, and Noor Tamimi, the cousin of Ahed, under arrest.On December 28, the Israeli military prosecutor requested to extend the detention of the Tamimis for another week as they continue an investigation, Palestinian news media reported.
