Senator Bernie Sanders on Sunday that he's "very concerned" about the possibility of President Trump firing Robert Mueller.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders said on Sunday that he's "very concerned" about the possibility of President Trump firing special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the investigation into Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 election.
Sanders also told Jake Tapper during his appearance on CNN's 'State of the Union' that he's alarmed by some Republicans' efforts to undermine Mueller in order to protect Trump.
Furthermore, he warned that if Trump were to fire Mueller, it'd trigger "a constitutional crisis."
Amid speculation, the White House on Tuesday denied that President Trump intends to fire Mueller and called the Russia investigation a "hoax."
When asked about the matter during a Fox News interview, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, "for the 1000th time, we have no intention of firing Bob Mueller."
"We're continuing to work closely and cooperate with him," Sanders further commented. "We look forward to seeing this hoax wrap up very soon."
Her characterization of the investigation is in line with the view frequently expressed by President Trump.
