Cyril Ramaphosa was elected president of South Africa’s African National Congress for the next five years on December 18, prompting a subdued response from incumbent Jacob Zuma, whose ex-wife, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, was running in opposition.This footage, captured by eCNA reporter Nickolaus Bauer, shows Zuma barely moving after the news of Ramaphosa’s victory is revealed.According to The Guardian and the BBC, Ramaphosa won with 2,440 votes over former cabinet minister Dlamini-Zuma’s 2,261. At time of publication South Africa’s deputy president, Ramaphosa positioned himself as an anti-Zuma candidate who would end the corruption scandals plaguing the ANC.
