“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is joining its predecessor “The Force Awakens,” as the second film ever to make over $100 million in its opening day alone. The latest 'Star Wars' installment took in $104.7 million from 4,232 screens. Industry estimates have Rian Johnson’s sequel making around $215 million for the weekend, which would make it the second-highest opening of all-time.
