The Last Jedi Made $450 Million in its Opening Weekend

So Star Wars had a pretty good weekend.

You know, because it brought in around 220 million bucks at the North American box office.

But come on – are you even surprised?

It’s the second biggest opening of all time, behind its predecessor The Force Awakens.

The film is also only the fourth film in history to open above the $200 million mark, so that alone is a pretty big notch in the belt.

But here’s something else. Disney said that with its international ticket sales also, its three-day weekend take was somewhere in the neighborhood of $450 million.

Not only does that put it in the record books, but brightens what has been a pretty disappointing year for Hollywood.

And just in case you were wondering – Ferdinand came in second place.

A very, very, veeerrrrry distant second place.
