Jehan Barbur is one of the prominent singer/ songwriter of her generation. Born in Lebanon, grew up in Iskenderun - Turkey, she studied American Literature in Bilkent University in Ankara. She has four albums so far: 'Uyan' (2009), 'Hayat' (2010), 'Sarı' (2012), 'Sizler Hiç Yokken' (2014) all released with Ada Music label. She also released a single with Sinan Kaynakçı 'Kendine Zaman Ver' (2014). Jehan is known also as the producer of her 4 albums, as well as the producer of Fırat Tanış's album 'Mor Rüyalar' which was released in Dec 2014.
Since her first album in 2009, she is in an effort to maintain the contemporary female composer-poet tradition as a storyteller and has gained a unique place in the music world.
Her songs and lyrics has been used in numerous TV series as well as movies and theater.
Along with music, Jehan is an acclaimed author. Her first book ‘Çatıdaki Çimenler – Sen’e Yazılar’ was published in 2013. She wrote short stories and poems for the ‘Kültür Mafyası’ magazine and currently continues to write at online literature page ‘Aykırı Akademi’ and ‘Ot Dergi’ and continues to work for the second book.
