Hawaii tested its nuclear attack warning siren on Friday, December 1, marking the first time the sirens blared since the 1980s, the final years of the Cold War. A local business in Kihei, Hawaii, shared this video of the sirens.According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the siren heard in this video was one of about 385 statewide sirens to sound. According to the reports, a weather siren is a simple alert attention tone and for nuclear, the sound is followed by one-minute wavering tone. The sirens were promoted in the case of a North Korean missile. If the missile was fired towards the US, it could reach Hawaii within 20 minutes, the Star-Advertiser reported. Credit: Facebook/Maui’s Best Massage via Storyful
