Hawaii Tests Nuclear Warning Siren For First Time Since 1980s

Hawaii tested its nuclear attack warning siren on Friday, December 1, marking the first time the sirens blared since the 1980s, the final years of the Cold War. A local business in Kihei, Hawaii, shared this video of the sirens.According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the siren heard in this video was one of about 385 statewide sirens to sound. According to the reports, a weather siren is a simple alert attention tone and for nuclear, the sound is followed by one-minute wavering tone.The sirens were promoted in the case of a North Korean missile.
