Fans serenaded the Tongan national rugby league team, or Mate Ma’a Tonga, as players arrived in Christchurch International Airport on Sunday, November 12, following their first-ever win over New Zealand on Saturday.The team’s coach, Kristian Woolf, said their 28-22 comeback win was the greatest moment in the Pacific nation’s sporting history.Fans clad in red and white, the colours of the Tongan flag, cheer and sing the Tongan national anthem upon the arrival of the athletes, as seen in this video.
