Humpback Whales Spotted Feeding Below Golden Gate Bridge
  • 7 years ago
A striking sight of humpback whales in San Francisco Bay caused one passersby to stop and film. Beneath the Golden Gate Bridge on Sunday, July 16, Mauricio Santana captured several videos of several humpback whales swimming in the bay.The whales are attracted to the high tide in the bay at this time of year, which brings bountiful anchovies for feeding. The coastal waters between Marin and San Francisco are ripe for feeding along the whales’ journey south for the winter. Credit: Twitter/MauricioSantana via Storyful
