New Zealand Army soldiers of Task Group Taji performed a stirring haka near Baghdad, Iraq, in a powerful tribute to fallen comrade Private Morgan Fraser.Morgan had been at Mount Taranaki, a stratovolcano in New Zealand, on Tuesday, June 27, when he was reported missing. His body was recovered from the mountain the following Thursday. The 22-year-old hailed from Palmerston North and joined the Army in 2013, reported the Taranaki Daily.The New Zealand Army paid tribute to Morgan in a Facebook post, writing: “It’s with great sadness I find myself writing to you all today to confirm the young man who passed away on Mt Taranaki on Wednesday was one of our own – PTE Morgan Fraser, 1 RNZIR. Morgan was a keen outdoorsman, and over the past few days I’ve been privileged to hear stories about this young soldier – a good southern lad from Gore who was a determined and capable soldier with a passion for mountaineering.”Task Group Taji, or TG Taji, is a joint Australian-New Zealand military training force located at a military complex northwest of Baghdad, according to the Australian Department of Defence.
