Rockfall Shuts Entrance to Yosemite National Park

One of Yosemite National Park’s entrances was closed after a rockfall blocked the road on Monday, June 12. The park posted aerial video on Tuesday showing the extent of the damage from the 4000 tons of rock.About 150 feet of the road was covered in 15-20 feet of debris, park officials said on Facebook. Part of the roadway surface and the retaining wall was damaged.The road would be closed at least through the weekend, the park service said.
