CBO: GOP healthcare bill would leave 23 million people uninsured

Republicans received some bad news from the Congressional Budget Office. According to the CBO, their highly contested plan to repeal and replace major parts of Obamacare would lead to 23 million fewer Americans with health insurance coverage by 2026 if it becomes law. There would be 51 million Americans uninsured about a decade from now, compared to 28 million that would be uninsured if Obamacare stays in place. In 2018, the projected number of people without health insurance would increase by 14 million. One positive? The CBO also found the bill would reduce deficits by $119 billion compared with Obamacare.
