Crowds Celebrate Macron Presidential Victory at Louvre

Celebrations for Emmanuel Macron’s presidential victory continued well into the night on May 7 with crowds enjoying music outside the Louvre in Paris.Macron’s supporters and members of the media had gathered at the world-famous museum earlier in the day to watch the election results on large screens.The centrist candidate took about 65 per cent of the vote, defeating far-right candidate Marine Le Pen by a decisive margin.
