Protesters, many in clown makeup, gathered in the Plaza del Congreso in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 20 for a “cacerolazo,” or noise protest, for the third consecutive day of protest against the country’s newly approved pension reform.Lawmakers passed the bill on December 19 with a 128 to 116 vote, which will make effective a delay in the retirement age for Argentinians and a cut in welfare payments. The government said the move was necessary to lower the country’s deficit, according to the BBC. Credit: Instagram/Joy Zubiria via Storyful
