Rahul Gandhi to meet farmers tomorrow

Back after his sabbatical, Rahul Gandhi will be meeting delegations of farmers from different states tomorrow and hear their views on the changes being brought in the UPA's land law. Raising qualms over the formation of Janata Parivar, Shiv Sena said that the leaders in the new front have been constantly at loggerheads with each other and it is impossible to say when would they stab one another for political gains. The Supreme Court on Friday extended the bail granted to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and four other accused till the Karnataka High Court disposes off their appeals against conviction in a disproportionate assets case. Amid the uproar over separatist leader Masarat Alam’s anti-India sloganeering and arrest, as many as 13 Kashmiri students have been expelled by a college in Rohtak. The Supreme Court on Thursday said artistic freedom of expression could not be misused to use abusive language against historical figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose.
