Trump would meet with Kim Jong Un 'under right circumstances'

In a meeting in the Oval office Monday, Trump made a statement in regards to possibly meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. “If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it. If it’s under the, again, under the right circumstances. But I would do that.” -- Trump Now that North Korea has become a national security threat, the U.S. would negotiate with the country's regime to give up their nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. Trump has been working with China, North Korea's neighbor and top trading partner, to put pressure on the regime when all other routes, including the United Nations sanctions and direct bilateral negotiations. Kim Jong Un has not left North Korea since his appointment in 2011 and has continued to develop his intercontinental ballistic missile program, regardless of international condemnation and sanctions.
