Congress to fund government through September

Congressional negotiators reached an agreement on Sunday regarding a bill to keep the government running through the end of September. The new plan intends to allocate billions for the Pentagon and border security, but does not include President Trump's proposed border wall with Mexico. The bill also includes billions in defense spending and global war on terrorism, both important demands from Republicans. In the proposal, there are also no funding cuts for Planned Parenthood, as requested by Democrats.
