Somnath Bharti surrenders to police in a dramatic style

Aam Aadmi Party lawmaker Somnath Bharti surrendered at a police station in West Delhi's Dwarka on Monday evening, hours after the Supreme Court ordered him to do so. The former Delhi law minister, made a dramatic entry at the police station, with a copy of the Indian Constitution in hand. Supreme Court yesterday rejected his bail plea and asked him to surrender and then come to court. Mr Bharti has been accused of domestic violence and torture by his wife Lipika Mitra, who he married in 2010.
