Man Claims 'Record-Breaking' Ascent of Mount St Helens

Aaron Sales of Hood River, Oregon, ascended to the summit of Mount St Helens in just 35 minutes on Friday, April 21, using a kite and snowboard – and he claims he has set a record for the fastest non-motorized ascent of the mountain.“Nobody had done it before… it was a personal dream to see if I could do it," Sales told The Seattle Times. "After a dozen attempts with things going wrong, I was wondering if things would come together.”
